Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Floral fruit aromas are neither heavy nor concentrated, but they are a touch medicinal and chocolaty. Flavors of clove, cherry, plum and oak are racy, while the finish is a bit resiny and weighted down by vanilla. Good wine for the price.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Dry, spicy but short on fruity aromas, with semi-spiky acidity that makes the palate a little jumpy and sheer. Good berry flavors and oak mellow the stark side of the wine, leaving spice and weight on the finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Low-volume wine with light, dry, red fruit aromas. Red plum and tomato flavors with a short, lean feel. Basic on the finish, but stays on course. Is what it is: light, generally fresh and short on fruit.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Yellow in color and smelling of iodine and mealy apple. Vegetal melon flavors carry the palate, which is dull and flat in terms of feel. Not much life or quality here; hardly seems worth it.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Good blackberry aromas and flavors along with structure make this solid and enjoyable. The nose of blackberry intrigues, and the bulky palate of plum and berry is healthy, balanced and able. Turns a bit more wild and herbal as it opens.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Hailing from San Rafael in southern Mendoza, this wine—named after a shade-providing tree—is interesting and different from the masses. The nose is floral and herbal, with pencil eraser and red-fruit aromas, while the mouth is earthy and sort of Old World, with dry, lean tannins and structure.

Pungent and a little pickled on the nose, with oak and cream coming on a second wave. The palate is composed, normal in feel and shows slightly choppy cherry and berry flavors. Regular but short on the finish. Good wine; nothing more than that.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Earthy up front, with a heavy, mildly herbal set of berry aromas. The palate is juicy and fairly solid, with fresh red-berry flavors accented by a dose of creamy vanilla. Long on the finish for basic Merlot, with an herbal lasting impression.
