Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
First nose is really funky and stinky with aromas of musk and sweat, but fortunately the nose clears some to reveal more interesting aromas of sweet fruit, smoke, peat, hard candy; big flavors in the mouth, loaded with sweet lemons and aggressive citric acidity; quite spicy; the acidic edge is softening now, yielding a more balanced and complex set of flavors; the finish is still defined by the flavors of lemons and grapefruit, but quite harmonious. Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Opens with a strong nose, loaded with butterscotch, honey and field flower aromas, green spices, grasses; powerful flavors laced with sweet fruit and dense textures; the wine is, however, somewhat awkward and flat, lacking depth and finesse; the finish is quite astringent and tight, and lacking in interest. (16.5/20)
