Grassy and yellow grapefruit notes on the nose, rounder mouthfeel than typical for a CA Sauvignon Blanc. Not show-stopping but good value.

Pretty, floral and aromatic perfumes onnose as expected from a Pinot Grigio; round mouthfeel, as also expected.

This must have been one tannic wine for Parducci to sit on it for six years. Those tannins have resolved, and the wine is soft and drinkable, but still with a firm enough backbone to stand up to the sweet blackberry and cherry flavors.

Lots to like, especially at this price. There are nice, ripe flavors of plums, blackberries and coffee, and the wine is dry and crisp. The tannins are a bit rugged, and there’s a rustically earthy mouthfeel, but this wine is a good value in a full-bodied, everyday red.

Parducci’s ’03 True Grit was a sensation. The ’04 is a worthy successor. Dry, tannic and amazingly rich, it floods the mouth with blackberry, cherry, currant, leather, coffee, carob and peppery spice flavors that go on and on in the finish. Like any great young Petite Sirah, it will age for many years.

Fruity-sweet, simple and sugary, with the flavors of canned peaches and pinapples. Crisp acidity provides needed balance.

A dark wine, with a thick texture and flavors of plums, berries and chocolate. Fundamentally simple, with soft, easy tannins, but the flavors are gigantic. This is a super wine for those backyard barbecues where you need an affordable red to wash it down.
