Well-utilized oak offsets deep, sweet black-cherry fruit in this Sangiovese-Cabernet Sauvignon blend. The cabernet plays a supporting role as a relatively minor component (about 10%) but adds just enough weight and density to differentiate the wine from the other offerings. The wine shows bright acidity and finishes long, with substantial but even tannins.
