A classic Eden Valley Riesling, the Pewsey Vale opens with multi-dimensional citrus character, followed by decadent tones of kiwi and guava. Crisp and long in the mouth, there’s a real sense of elegance here. A final note of lemon adds a refreshing element to the long finish. Drink now or hold a few years for more nuanced complexity.

Lovely acidity is this Riesling’s hallmark; it’s round but crisp in the mouth. Offers lovely lemon, lime and white pepper flavors in the mouth, and smells just as it tastes. Finishes with some length, and a chalky feel.

This is a sweet take on the typically dry Australian style of Riesling. The nose is sexy and decadent with aromas of cherry, baby powder and sweat that lead to a mouthwatering palate of lemon and lemonade. Medium, peachy finish. Drink on its own or with cheese.

Fresh, with a slate edge to the upfront lime and green plum fruit. More than a hint of sweetness mingles with lemon and lime zest notes on the somewhat disappointingly short finish. Try with shrimp in mango salsa.

It’s a rare treat when a winery bottle-ages a wine for you, but that’s exactly what’s happened here. The result is a top-notch dry Aussie Riesling that’s just entering its plateau of maturity, where it should stay for another 5–10 years. Slightly honeyed notes soften the intense scents of crushed stones, then pick up hints of tangerine on the palate. Replacing the briskness of youth is a soft, lingering finish.

Hints of honey, citrus and petrol mark the aromas of this wine from a legendary Eden Valley estate. It’s a medium-bodied rendition of Riesling, dry and petrolly, with a long, concentrated finish that suggests that this wine could safely be cellared for up to 10 years.

This is a reasonably full-bodied, rounded example of Australian Riesling that smells of honey and peaches, but with a sense of underlying stony bedrock. It’s minerally on the palate, with just enough frills to dress it up, turning lusher on the finish. Good price, too.

This Pinot Gris is marching to the beat of its own drum, with some funky aromas and toast notes along with lemon and pear fruit. It’s a tad volatile in the mouth but has some nice depth of flavor and a lingering cashew finish. Likeable for its originality.
