When a young Pinot Noir is dominated by oak, as this one is, it’s a little worrying. Will the oak be absorbed in time, or will it always be excessive? This young wine has pleasant cherry, black raspberry and cola flavors, but the oak seems to have the upper hand. Drink soon.

Not for fans of rich Chardonnays, this is a very dry, acidic bottling. It’s more about clean mouthfeel and scour than hedonism. What fruit there is suggests limes, pears and brisk minerals, while smoky oak and lees contribute toasty, buttery, creamy notes. A distinguished and elegant wine that defines cool-climate coastal conditions. Grows more complex and interesting as it warms in the glass.

Very good nose cherry and vanilla. Very tart cherry flavor and very light and easy drinking.

Meaty, barnyardy aromos mix with ripe cherries. Delicate mouth feel with flavors of dark cherries. Falls off slightly on the finish.

Spice and vanilla on the nose. A lush chardonnay with ripe but not very intense flavors of lemon and apple. A layer of lime shines through on the mid-palate with a little oak.
