Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This special vineyard selection offers depth and personality in the form of black stone, granite, balsam, cola, mature blackberry and background renderings of spice and toast. It’s among the most flavor-rich Brunellos of the vintage with pretty tones of cherry fruit and chewy density.

Smokey, toasted qualities are backed by ample cherry, coffee, molasses, white peppercorn and pine resin. Elegant and restrained without overt intensity, but well integrated and velvety in the mouth with drying tannins. Imported by Superior Wines LLC.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
PianCornello opens with very nice intensity and a dark Brunello color with aromas of cured meat, ripe blackberry and exotic spice. It’s a bigger, thicker expression of the wine with firm tannins and ripe berry flavors backed by just enough acidity to keep the palate refreshed.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Here’s a steady, consistent Brunello that marches forward without exposing itself too much in terms of jamminess. It has aromas of ripe blueberry, black currant, prune and dried tobacco over a plush texture and good structure. Vines are 15-years-old on average and their deep roots may have helped protect against hot temperatures.

Here’s a beautiful Brunello that offers generous tones of black fruit, plum and cherry that are filled out at the back by solid notes of spice, cola, mesquite wood and cigar box. You’ll love the natural density and intensity of this gorgeous wine from Tuscany with sweet tannins and smooth texture.
