Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Apple, vanilla and buttercup aromas are harmonious and lead to a driving, acidic palate that’s a bit foamy but houses zesty flavors of tart apple and citrus. Crisp as they come, which keeps the palate alive and tingling.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Opens with brambly, edgy plum aromas and stays edgy in the mouth, with fresh but mildly tart raspberry flavors. Lots of kick and life, but not a lot of elegance or complexity. Finishes with vanilla and a lashing of palpable oak.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Sweet black fruit, road tar and a whiff of grass makes for an interesting, attractive nose. With its medium body and medium depth, the palate shows cherry, cassis and tomato flavors, and the finish offers a rush of red fruit, tannin and brown sugar. While this doesn’t bowl you over, it’s good Spanish Cabernet Sauvignon, something you don’t find every day.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Hard to say who this wine is made for; must be the old schooler who likes lightness and elegance. Starts with gritty, rooty, mature aromas of tobacco and leaves, with red fruit scents mixed in. The palate is light but right, with elegant cherry and raspberry flavors that are not dark or heavy. Fades with vanilla and tobacco notes. Drink right away.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A bit brown/brickish in color, with an earthy nose of spice, cinnamon, tobacco and baked fruit. It’s a traditional-style Tempranillo with some Rioja-like character; it shows dried fruit, citrus peel and tobacco flavors, and then a light leafy finish. Drink now.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Gritty and tough, but amid the rough tannins and bite there is red plum, licorice candy and brown sugar sweetness. Flavors of berry fruit and raisin cover the racy and sweet ends of the spectrum, while the finish is tight to the point of being raw.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Very friendly and clean cava with good fruit and a pinch of aromatic toast. It’s far from out of the ordinary, but it is extremely fresh and clean, with pure lemon-lime and green apple on the palate. Finishes fruity and with finesse. Really good in an uncomplicated way.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Smells like canned fruit, and tastes like greens along with mealy pineapple. Falls apart on the finish. Not recommended but not lethal. Barely acceptable.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Early on it shows rich, ribald fruit aromas accented by graphite and licorice stick. Sweet, jammy, slightly reduced flavors of cassis and blackberry are chewy and dark, but not all that dense, complex or deep. Finishes persistent, with some grit and heat. Drink soon. Imported by National Distributing Co., Inc.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Shows true Priorat depth and minerality while pouring on the new oak, char and polish. The mouth is ripe and saturated, with intense raspberry, plum and vanilla flavors. Extremely firm and structured, with a hint of bitter chocolate and burnt character. Drink now through 2014. Imported by National Distributing Co., Inc.
