This unique blend of 50% Sémillon, 25% Gouveio and 25% Cerceal (Sercial) is plump and aromatic enough (pears, tropical fruit) but the flavors are less pronounced. Finishes on a tart, grapefruity note.

Soft and supple on the finish, this leathery, medium-weight wine could substitute for a decent Côtes-du-Rhône. Chocolate and cherries fill out the midpalate.

Leathery, with slightly raisiny fruit flavors reminiscent of prune or dried cherries. The tough tannins are mouthdrying and may not have the fruit behind them to support extended aging. Drink now with hearty foods that need an austere counterpoint.
