Complex and deep nose with a mix of many elements, slightly funky and earthen on first opening, but then smoothes out to reveal pleasant elements of smoke, black fruits, spices and quite perfumed and floral; complex in the mouth with an opening shot of smooth black cherry flavors, but then more complexity as a mix of herbs and spices approach the palate; lots of citrus elements mixed with still very dry and not fully integrated tannins; nicely balanced and well made though; dry and citric at the end, and not yet near ready to drink, but this is an elegant and well-made wine.
