A 50-50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this isn't as attractive as the other Clairet bottling from Premius. This one lacks a bit of textural interest, but does feature clean strawberry and raspberry fruit. Imported by Freixenet USA.

A creamy textured wine, with fresh green apples, herbs, pink grapefruit and a fresh, crisp zing. It is full-bodied, intense and packed with fruit.

A négociant bottling from the ubiquitous Yvon Mau, this wine proudly boasts élevé en futs du chene on the label. You can certainly notice it in the cedary aromas and flavors, but it’s adequately balanced by cassis and tobacco flavors. The fruit tastes a touch overripe, but it seems to work well here.

Round and full aromas and bold red-fruit flavors is what this is about. There’s some peppery spice and a hotness to the finish. It’s a touch aggressive, however, and it falls short of full balance.

A 50-50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a full-bodied rosé. Assertive chocolate and cherry aromas and flavors finish dry and slightly dusty with tannin, making it a solid choice with grilled meats, less so with fish.
