Well crafted, with tropical fruit flavors. Barrel fermentation adds leesy, creamy notes, and it’s oaky and ripe. A big, bold Chard, not shy about itself, that could use a little more finesse. But the price is fair.

With some Cabernet Franc, and from the east end of Santa Ynez Valley, the two best Bordeaux reds in the appellation combine to make a soft, juicy wine, with ripe berry flavors and some herbal notes, and a smooth finish.
