Made from the Thracian Valley’s indigenous Mavrud grape, this wine has an enticing aroma of leather, blackberry and tobacco. The flavor is savory and spicy—rich with tobacco. Moderately complex with aging potential. Pair with rich, savory meat dishes.

A slightly green nose is tempered by aromas of cherry, spice and dried herbs in this Bulgarian Merlot. Soft, integrated flavors are of vanilla, spice and berry. Firm and complex, the wine offers a lingering, warm finish. Aged for at least six months in Bulgarian oak barrels, it’s ready to drink now.
