The heat of the Pfaffenberg vineyard shows strongly in this wine. This is a big, concentrated waft of yellow fruits, given some spice and finished with a tight pear skin texture. Worth aging, to bring the spice fully into balance.

Full-bodied, with a soft, round mouthfeel that fits well with the scents of white pepper and ripe peaches. Mineral and melon flavors ease across the palate, ending on a long, minerally and subtly peppery note. Imported by Vin Divino.

The Wess style is for rounded wines, with a ripe, creamy texture. While this Terrassen is all about fresh fruit, it also has the same extra richness in its makeup. The floral character of Riesling is evident, as are flavors of white peaches and dried apricots. There’s even a touch of pepper for the spice. Screwcap.

An intense, creamy wine, showing fresh fruits as well as almonds, spice, yeast and toast flavors. It has been finely crafted to bring out a bouquet of spring flowers and a richer, warm feel. It should certainly be aged, at least for 4–5 years.

There is a fine layer of minerality in this wine, coming from the dry stones of the vineyard. It produces a tight texture that dominates at this stage. Underneath, green and yellow fruits are waiting to come out, bringing with them a great lift of acidity and delicious refreshing crispness.

Fresh and light, this wine reflects the relatively cool conditions of 2004. However, it still preserves much of the richness of the hot Loibenberg vineyard, with spice and green fruits pushing through bright acidity.

Hugely ripe, this is a powerhouse of a wine, giving minerality as well as intense yellow fruit flavors. The pepper of the Grüner is discreet, leaving a soft, juicy, fruity aftertaste.

Crisp, fresh and poised, with delicious white currant fruits and pure, direct acidity piercing through. As befits a Riesling from this vineyard, this wine is just starting out. Give it 4 or 5 years at least.
