Sweet nose with lots of fruit and ample perfumed and aromatic notes, stemmy and wooden, earthen truffled, great aromatics; sweet and ripe in the mouth with mature fruit and lots of earthen, truffle flavors; powerful and spicy; dry elegant flavors, balanced; refined; lingering in the mouth. (19/20)

What a treat in this format; opens with a real statement, sweet and elegant, typically slightly funky with a hint of stemminess, but deep and complex with intertwined aromas that conjure up cherry jam with a hint of mint and green herbs, earth, black plums; wonderful, deep, sweet and rich in the mouth; black cherries coated with milk chocolate; creamy and rich with layers of flavor that evoke an almost candied sweetness; long, silky finish; this is as good as it gets.
