Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Wonderful nose of sweet, honeyed fruit and spices, some minerality here, lots of honey and sweet spice; sweet and rich in the mouth, powerful acidity, honeyed fruit, has some tropical elements, melon and sweet citrus fruit; long and powerful finish, thick and powerful, almost viscous; long finish with deep and complex flavors at the end. (18/20)

Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Dry nose with surprisingly austere aromas, steely, minerally, but at the same time has a nice floral and sweet fruit essence, hints of tarragon, of course, there is the presence of rubber to remind one of the grape; smooth in the mouth, but has a hard inner core that is steely and laced with dry acidity; there is plenty of sweet and spicy notes in the wine though, and it has plenty of lemon and spice to satisfy the more hedonistic; the wine gets richer in the glass, and it is obvious that more bottle time is needed for the wine to show its full potential. (16.5/20)

Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Surprisingly light and elusive nose, missing most of the keys that define Riesling though, there is a lightly sweet note to this wine, only a hint of the vinyl that should be there; big citric flavors, lemony and sour; some shadows of sweet fruit with hints of perfume but generally pretty flat; hard finish. (12/20)

Expert NoteDecember 19, 2005
Very aromatic nose, sweet fruit, beeswax, minerals, green herbs, wood and smoke; sweet on the entry, lots of honeyed fruit; but then turning dry and lemony with mineral-laden textures; very focused finish with strong acidity and good balance. (17/20)
