I wanted to like this Zin, and while there are some good things, there are problems. The wine is very hot, with a chile pepper heat that comes from extremely high alcohol. That makes the underlying wild berry, coffee and tobacco flavors hard to enjoy. From Mauritson, although it doesn’t say so on the front label.
