Somehow this California-based producer managed to make a full-bodied Oregon Pinot Noir in 2007, with alcohol at 14%, and real flesh on its bones. Strawberry, rhubarb and tart cherries mix in the fruit, with streaks of smoke and moist earth adding further flavor interest through the finish.
