Some slightly skunky aromas give way to orange, anise and earth. Cranberry, orange and chocolate flavors are tartly appealing, but there’s a tannic edge and a chalkiness that muffles the nuances.

Distinctive gamy, cigar box and saddle leather aromas give this wine rustic appeal. It’s fat and a bit tannic in the mouth with unpolished leather, tobacco and cherry flavors. Well structured, it’s just a bit low in acidity but finishes nicely with lingering leather and tobacco flavors.
