There are some pretty apple and pear flavors, wrapped in spicy oak, and a fairly rich mouthfeel. Seems a little flat in acidity, with an earthy finish. Pretty good for the money.

An enormously rich, compelling but young, Cabernet. Really impresses for its sour cherry and blackberry candy flavors, and the sophisticated layering of smoky, vanilla-scented oak. Feels ultrarefined, but also quite tannic. Needs time. Better after 2013, with proper storage.

Dry, earthy and a little green and herbal, this wine shows modest apple and peach flavors. It’s the kind of Chard you can gulp easily without worrying about the price.

Okay drinking from a great vintage, but it’s a tough, acidic young wine. Satisfies with cherry and oak flavors in the finish.

Dry and earthy, with red stone fruit and berry flavors, this wine has complex notes of coffee, grilled meat and cocoa, as well as oaky nuances. It really impresses all around.

A very good Cab with polished blackberry, plum and herb flavors, and some gritty tannins that turn astringent on the finish, although they’re accompanied by ripe, sweet fruit. It’s very dry, with a great structure that calls for fine foods.

A little sharp, but easily the winery’s best non-vineyard designated Cab since the ’02. Shows a ripeness level that slam dunks cherries, blackberries, cola and oak onto the palate, yet maintains an elegant dryness.

Made in an oaky, creamy style to appeal to popular tastes, this Chardonnay has jammy pineapple flavors. It’s brisk in acidity and is somewhat simple, but the price isn’t bad.

This Cabernet is as soft as velvet, with a clean bite of acidity, and the cherry and blackberry jam flavors are evenly paired with smoky, sweet oak. Drink now, and easy to find, with 30,000 cases produced.
