This is a nice blend of 70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese. Nice fruit of plums with toasted oak and an earthy flavor that seams to marry well with grilled beef or steak. It has great acidity, and the blend of the medium-bodied varietals allows it to pair well with other foods such as tomato-based sauces over pasta, veal, or grilled vegetables as well. At $16, this is a great find and I believe to be a crowd pleaser.
