In the Salomon-Undhof range, Reserve wines are late-harvest wines, but that means rich, with honey flavors, rather than sweet. This Grüner Veltliner has all the right varietal character, pepper, spice and pure, ripe fruit. Age it for three or four years to balance the richness with the fruit. A pure line of fresh green fruits goes right through this mineral, bone-dry wine. The texture shows citrus and green apple skins, with a tight freshness that is still young. You can almost taste the stones in the concentrated flavor. Age for at least a year.
