Violet-pink in color, this blush has the benefit of extreme dryness, and also shows the high acidity and balance of the appellation. It’s not terribly complex or anything, but satisfies for upfront, primary fruit raspberry and cherry flavors.

Fairly dark and full-bodied for a rosé, and you’ll find cherry-plummy flavors with a finish of white pepper.

This is one of the few rosés from this appellation that I’m aware of. It’s a little full-bodied for a blush, but pretty good. Dry and rich, it has deep, long flavors of raspberries and vanilla, with very high acidity that desperately needs food.

This blend of Zinfandel, Carignane and Sangiovese probably tastes like the red wines the immigrants drank years ago. It’s bone dry and rustic and clean and pure, with modest alcohol. Wash it down with salumi, pasta marinara, or just a plain roast chicken.

This is an elaborate, oaky Chardonnay made in the popular style that has made California Chard such a success. It’s rich in pineapple jam, apricot, buttered toast, vanilla and leesy flavors, and grows better as it warms in the glass.

A beautiful Sauvignon Blanc that shows why this warmish Santa Barbara County valley is such a natural home for the variety. With crisp acidity and a creamy texture, it’s dry and minerally, with interestingly rich flavors of citrus fruits, melons and pears, and a touch of smoky oak.

Very rich, ripe, oaky and delicious. Dazzles with waves of buttercream, buttered toast, buttered popcorn and butter-drizzled bananas, with plenty of underlying pineapple fruit and honey. Could be more subtle, though. It’s all on the surface.

Good, strong citrus fruit, wildflower and honey flavors in this wine, and powerful acidity too, like a squirt of lime juice. Some barrel influence shows up in creamy vanilla. Would be nice now as a cocktail sipper.
