A superrich, very complex wine with aromas of plum liqueur, bacon and mint. On the palate it has that smoky, raisiny character that is the hallmark of fine Amarone. Sustained by a solid structure, good depth and a fine finish.

Sartori’s Estate Collection Amarone delivers soapy-floral notes that recall dried lavender and rosehip potpourri. The feminine bouquet is attractive to smell but is oddly reinforced in the mouth because of the wine’s inherent sweetness. Pair with meats marinated with thyme, rosemary or other fragrant herbs.

There's a slightly nutty-almondy edge to the black cherry and plum aromas, then lovely flaovrs of brandied fruitcake laden with baking spices and dried fruit. Yet at the same time, it's not over-the-top rich, and very drinkable with food. A long, supple, fruit-filled finish seals the deal. Drink now-2015.

This wine has a leg up on the competition thanks to its elegance. Vibrant ruby red in color, its aromas include ripe cherry, milk chocolate, leather, tobacco and Indian spice. Yes, the aromas are intense, but they are weaved together in a seamless, harmonious fashion creating a polished and pristine whole. Try it with roast leg of lamb and broad bean purée.

Lower in alcohol than most, so consequently it’s pushing bright fruit notes and a lot of cinnamon, clove and other wood-based aromas. The palate offers a nice berry component, cherry, herbs and cigar tobacco. Finishes with crisp acids and a spot of chocolate.
