Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A simple, crisp Riesling that will work well as an apéritif. Green apple and lime aromas and flavors finish on the dry side. Tart and mouthwatering. Imported by Magellan Wine Imports.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A light, refreshing style of kabinett, with a floral, perfumed nose, ripe fruit flavors of apple and peach, plenty of citrus for balance and even a hint of crushed stone to add complexity. It’s easy-drinking, perfect for summer sipping.

Round and plush, this relatively high-alcohol (13%) Mosel Riesling offers plenty of ripe fruit flavors, yet finishes dry. A smoky, leesy character on the nose wraps easily around a core of pineapple and peach fruit. Drink now.

Citrusy and leesy on the nose, followed by pretty much textbook apple, pear and citrus flavors. It’s lightly sweet, medium in body, with tingly acids that keep everything balanced. Picks up some lovely bergamot notes on the finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Apple and pineapple on the nose, bolstered by scents of spring flowers. It’s medium-bodied on the palate, with mineral-accented apple flavors and a long, crisply acidic finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Smells fruity, with scents of apple, lime, pineapple and pear that are echoed on the palate. Doesn’t offer a lot of mineral complexity, but plenty of tart, lightbodied, almost completely dry fruit.

Rivaner is a rarely seen grape variety, but this is awfully good. It’s a full-bodied, robust wine with intense stone fruit and melon flavors, underscored by citrus and spice notes that linger delicately on the finish. Drink it now and over the next year or two.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Has some hints of wild greens on the nose to go with more standard notes of pineapple and melon. But it’s on the palate that this wine really shines, adding flavors of apple, citrus and edible flowers, and culminating in a long, balanced finish. Imported by Magellan Wine Imports.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Scents of fresh greens--perhaps fern fronds--quickly give way to flavors of superripe apples and honey. Yet the wine retains a light, feathery mouthfeel, turning drier on the finish, with a slight sense of sourness at the end.
