Fans of big, powerful, lush California Petite Sirahs will fall in love with this blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Syrah. It’s a dark, full-bodied and extraordinarily rich wine, potent in blackberry and cherry pie filling and milk chocolate flavors. Soft and complex, with dusty tannins, it calls to mind a perfectly grilled steak.

Distinctly Zin, with its briary, brambly aromas and flavors of wild berries, freshly picked off thorn bushes in the heat of the summer sun. The freshness perseveres with vibrant cherry, blackberry, loganberry and pepper flavors that finish smooth and dry. Perfect with roasts, barbecue, rich hard cheeses.

Somewhat rustic and sweet, but a decent Zin to drink at parties and barbecues. It’s soft and tasty in blackberries, cherries, chocolate and spices.

Tastes as sugary sweet as a pineapple, orange and mango fruit juice drink. There’s no oak, so what you get is pure fruit.

Simple and soft, with canned apricot and peach flavors. Nothing really wrong, but the price seems a little excessive for what you get.

If you don’t like high alcohol you might want to stay away from this one, but you’d be missing a classic expression of Paso Robles Zinfandel. It’s soft, rich and complex in berry pie, coffee, root beer, tobacco, spice and chocolate flavors; very delicious. I think of drinking this with something off the barbecue, under a warm, starry summer night.

Ripe and fruity, with jammy flavors of blackberries, cherries, cola, mocha and spices. Finishes with a slightly sweet scour of tannins. Could easily improve with a year or so more in the bottle. Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Syrah and Grenache.

A lovely Bordeaux blend that shows how much these Paso Robles reds are really succeeding. Yes, the alcohol is high, but it’s a lush, ripe wine, filled with delicious blackberries, currants, chocolate and sandalwood.

This Zin, Syrah and Petite Sirah blend smells and tastes like Port, only not as good. Thin, dry and hot.

Made from an interesting blend of Bordeaux and southern Rhône varieties, this juicy wine has lush, forward currant, cherry and spice flavors. It’s dry, but also pretty tannic. There’s a smoky, sweetly charred edge that calls for a grilled steak.
