Leathery and ripe, with the vineyard’s classic blackberry and cassis fruit. Plenty of smoky oak gives it a tannic heaviness that is a bit unbalanced.

Pungent, austere, and awkward with distracting scents of sulfur and cracker. There’s light cherry fruit here, quite tart and tannic, unyielding.

We tasted two samples of this wne which is elegant and made in a light, Burgundian style. The fragrant nose offers lavender, bacon and faint cherry, while the mouth is racy and spicy but not overly aggressive. A feminine wine—one that won’t blow you over.

Good, dark color and plenty of pizzazz, with black cherry and cola signaling a ripe, spicy, flavorful wine. Viscous and long, with a dry, dusty, tannic finish.

This has a funky nose, with barnyard scents of leather and manure. The wine seems to fall off in the mid-palate, then comes back to finish with some thick flavors of blackberry, black cherry and spicy oak. Somewhat controversial.
