Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Spicy, sweet red plums and charred oak marry well in this limited release wine from Sherwood House. There are hints of tobacco leaf and green grass throughout, but soft, supple tannins and a dark, smoky finish make this a pleasant sip.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Despite intriguing notes of ripe red cherries, menthol and barnyard that peek through, tar and smoke from heavily charred French oak dominate both the nose and palate. There’s a pleasant midpalate of black fruit and pepper spice but its brief appearance is overshadowed again by a deep char finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Notes of barnyard and green bean grace red-fruit aromas, while the palate follows with cherry, green bean, spice flavors and a hint of char. The mouthfeel is a bit leathery, but overall this is a balanced, medium-bodied wine with good acidity and a cherry finish.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Vanilla, spice and blackberry flavors meet in this friendly, mellow wine. The structure is soft and bordering on watery, and the finish short, which impedes the impact, but the mouthfeel is velvety and the overall impression favorable. Aged 12 months in older French barrels. Enjoy with duck or red meat.

Delicious scents of nuts, toast and honey-kissed apples, pears and lemon waft from this lovely Chardonnay from Sherwood House. Dry and full bodied, it balances an intensely fruity palate with an elegant minerality and some brisk pineapple acidity.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
This dry, full-bodied white Merlot is tempting on the nose with bright cherry and raspberry jam notes and a dainty peach hue. The palate, however, is rather broad with watery fruit flavors that lack intensity and length.

Elegant, dancing aromas of apricot, pear and citrus are followed by toasted nuts and citrus in this refreshing and dry-style bubbly. Offer good complexity and some cream on the palate—making it an enticing food wine.

Bright and fresh with sweet scents of tropical fruit and apples on the nose, this medium-bodied, dry wine isn’t deeply concentrated on the palate, but its a clean, unoaked Chard for everyday enjoyment.
