This Bricco Luciani expression of Nebbiolo shows pretty berry nuances that are woven carefully between mesquite, cola, spice and white pepper. There’s personality and dimension here and the wine tastes particularly bright and vibrant in the mouth. You could pair this Barolo with quail or Cornish hen.

This is a wine to fall immediately in love with. How can anyone resist this density, richness in color and concentration? Black spice and mature fruit aromas are woven around delicate touches of red rose, cherry cola and mesquite smoke. The wine’s generous persistency can be counted in many long minutes. Drink after 2018.

Barolo Ciabot Manzoni is a tremendous wine with rich notes of cherry, vanilla and chocolate. Yes, it’s a bold, modern wine but there’s no denying the quality and beauty here. Give it more time in the cellar to allow those oak notes to integrate and give more prominence to the sophisticated aromas of wild berries, mineral, cola and licorice that are generously present. This is a beautiful wine that exhibits seductively dark concentration and bright aromas of red berries, cola and licorice that are characteristic of the Nebbiolo grape. The tannins show a polished, silky nature and will continue to evolve over long years of cellar aging.
