There is enticing new wood here, a wine that shows richness to boost the ripe, creamy apple and pear fruits. It has a generous character, to contrast with its core of steely acidity. The finish is more earthy, suggesting the wine still needs time in the bottle.

Fine, fresh strawberry jam fruit and clear acidity are found on this wine made by Chablis producer Simmonet-Febvre, now owned by Louis Latour, which means they knowing something about Pinot Noir. This is simple, fruity, with the red berry fruits dominant. Screwcap.

Taut and edgy, very steely in character, with almost an austere character in its youth. Its fruits are definitely on the citrus side of the spectrum, crisp yet rich as well. The acidity shoots right through the wine.
