Smells a little funky, with a raw meat note floating on top of the blackberry and cherry aromas. Turns extremely dry and tannic in the mouth; it may mellow out in a year or two.

With ripe black currant fruit, lush French oak and rich tannins, what it lacks in depth and complexity, it makes up for with charm.

Toasted marshmallows, cream cheese, baked apple and licorice on the nose lead into a mallowy, cardboard-woody palate with a hint of black berry flavor. Finishes short, with toasty-chalky sweetness.
