Some commentary on our Malbec and a hint for all the Argentine offerings. These wines require a tremendous decanting. Grown in the high alitude sun, the malbec develop a strong tannin structure and require time in barrel (french to answer one of the questions) to soften. Be sure and let our wines and all of the Argentine offerings plenty of time to breathe (1 hr. or more is best) and you'll enjoy the full experience of the fruit opening with the savory (liked that one) finish that these wines are capable of demonstrating. Thanks for tasting,MattSolsticio Owner

I want to offer a suggestion for enjoying not only our Torrontes but for all the labels. The hallmark of Torrontes is its fragrant floral character. I've notice a few comments about our wine and others that leads me to believe the wine was served too cold. I'm not recommending room temperature but definitely not out of the refrigerator either. Torrontes is best enjoyed as slightly cool rather than chilled or cold.Keep working with the varietal and I'm sure you'll be even more pleased.MattSolsticio Owner

slightly sweet nose is fruity (plum?) but with a touch of savory. i would have liked it better if it were more fruity and less oaky.

Well balanced wine. Full fruit flavors but not overly extracted. Picked up hints of tobacco and vanilla with the dominant plum, blackberry and blueberry fruit.

Somewhat harsh tannins (from American oak?) overwhelm what I hoped and thought would be a fruit driven, jammy, quintessentially terroir-driven wine.

Classically floral and aromatic, somewhat lush, and slightly watery finish, but for sure mild.
