Dark and deep purple/black, with a Port-like nose. There’s a little fizz on the palate, which seems odd in a wine this big, and the flavors are locked in tight. Flat, dry, tannic finish.

The flavors are almost moving into late-harvest; raisiny, superripe, hot and tannic. On the plus side is the finish, with sweet, juicy, jammy fruit that is really tasty. From 77-year-old vines.

95-year-old vines produced this dark, inky, tannic wine made in the old style. Blueberries, vanilla and spice, with lots of depth and power. Good juice unimpeded by oak.

A dense purple color, with jammy, grapy fruit. Plenty of extraction, yielding a grapy, fruity wine with a little bit of fizz to it. The wine promises more depth than it delivers; the finish falls off quickly and feels flat.
