Soft and fruity, this is a nice drinking, somewhat complex Cab, with a lush texture framing flavors of chocolate-covered cherry candy, blackberry tea and cappuccino with a dash of Kahlúa. It’s entirely ready now.

Spann’s bottling of these two varieties has been remarkably consistent, producing a delicious, easy wine with some real sophistication. It’s filled with fruit, showing ripe apple sauce, pineapple, lime and vanilla flavors, brightened with crisp acidity.

Ultraripe in pineapple, tropical fruit and oaky vanilla flavors, this white blend is almost as sweet as a dessert wine. It’s fortunately balance with mouthwatering acidity.

This is an interesting wine that shows the creamy pineapple and vanilla flavors of Chardonnay, yet with rich, more exotic notes of cashew nuts, yellow apricots and marzipan. It’s full-bodied and almost sweet, yet complex enough for a fine dinner.

Showing the rustic power of Charbono, this is an inky dark, bone-dry, tannic wine, but California’s sun stars in the immensely ripe black currant flavors. Crisp, bright acidity cuts through, making it a good partner for tomato sauce and cheese-based Italian fare. Should live for decades in a cool cellar, gradually softening and sweetening.

The grapes got a little too raisined this year, resulting in a wine that’s somewhat heavy and sweet. Tastes like a mocha cherry frappuccino, with a squirt of anisette and a dusting of cinnamon.
