A big, beefy red that spent 22 months in oak. The oak imparts a slight sweetness that softens the tannins without impairing the dark, meaty fruit. Chocolate-espresso notes play in the nose and on the tongue, while the wine picks up flavors of leather and balsam. Finishes as big as it lives, with coffee grounds and dark fruit.
