Not a complex wine, and it's a little lighter bodied than I like my Merlots. That aside, the aromas of dark, tart cherries and currant, with toasted oak are quaffable to say the least, and it was a welcome addition to my pizza. This is a good one by itself as well. In the end this was one of two wines I chose to buy at the Virginia Wine Festival at The Plains because I just like it.

Any idea what the production on this was? How much was
it? Shocked that it wasn't rated by WS ;-)
