A nicely crafted debut from a new Walla Walla boutique. The blend—two thirds Cabernet Sauvignon, one third Syrah—is becoming a classic in Walla Walla. This wraps delicious caramel around bright berries and plums. It’s nicely focused, smooth and compact, but feels like a wine that will flesh out with a bit more bottle age.

Celery and raw wood in the nose, then some light, green fruits come into play in the mouth. As it breathes open there are floral overtones and a hint of honey—a glimmer of varietal character.

This rare Walla Walla Roussanne comes on crisply with a mix of melon, pineapple and lime. It’s tart and fresh and lightly minty, with persistent and clean fruit flavors.

Strongly herbal, with scents and flavors of leaf, root and stem. The flavors are more toward grass and herb than berry or fruit. It’s got a peppery finish, pleasant but could be a little riper.

A pale salmon color, this simple, fresh-tasting rosé is mostly Merlot, with about 15% Cabernet Franc. Light watermelon and strawberry fruit carries some alcoholic power (14.1%) into the finish.
