A little on the lean side, as far as Cabernet Sauvignons are concerned, but offers some nice, bright red berry fruit on the nose and palate. Splashes of dried spice and oak complete the picture.

Nicely concentrated, with layers of chocolate and potent cassis flavors that are tinged with hints of peppery spice. Medium-bodied, with enough structure to make it capable of lasting several years in the cellar.

Scents of raspberry jam and chocolate intermingle on the nose of this full-bodied Shiraz. The warmth of its alcohol shows through a little on the palate, and the flavors turn tart and cranberryish on the finish. Drink now-2015.

Starts off with some mildly lactic notes on the nose, but also plenty of plum, herb and cola scents. Similar flavors dominate the palate, which is nicely creamy, buoyed by soft tannins, then finishes a little short and herbal. A decent effort.

Get past the nose, and you’re in for a lean, mean Shiraz machine. A whiff out of the glass, though, will get you a nose full of lactic, milky notes, plus some herb. Palate offers a sour cherry-cranberry mixed bag, with a distinctive herb- and-tree-bark component.
