A fresh, slightly green nose is followed by angular red berry and spice flavors in this Merlot. The wine has good structure but is a touch acidic and tart—pair it with richer, rounded dishes to soften it out.

A full, integrated nose of tobacco, cedar and pepper give this Merlot from Moldova a sultry start. On the palate a nice integration of fruit and spice, albeit a touch oaky and sweet. A bit scrappy overall, but likeable and fun.
