appearance: medium intensity with an above-average color, purple. nose: light intensity with aromas of cloves, dirty socks, blackberries, black pepper, and cough medicine. palate: off-dry, with low acid and tannins, and flavors of plum, vanilla, gooseberry, leather, shoes. the length is short. overall: a basic wine that is quite balanced with the acid and tannins. the heat is containted quite well. the problem is just that it's simple and basic, it's not that interesting. for the price, it's acceptable. i give this an 83.

Soft, clean and dry, with simple cherry and berry flavors and peppery spice. Easy to drink with Italian fare, burgers or a ham sandwich.

Lots of ripe berry and spice flavors in this dry, friendly wine. It’s very soft, but has good acidity. Try with BBQ salmon or ribs.

A pretty nice dinner wine, full-bodied and firm, with plum and blackberry flavors and firm tannins. It’s clean and dry, and will do just fine with barbecue and similar rich fare.

Plenty of peach and apple flavors and it’s pretty dry. On the down side is a roughness and it’s also way too oaky, with flavors of wood sap, spice and vanilla dominating the finish.

Toasty-rich, with a pleasing blend of coffee, chocolate, black cherry, spice and vanilla flavors. The tannins are firm and supple and give it good structure.

Pretty good everyday price, but too soft and sweet. The apricot, peach and pineapple flavors taste frankly sugared.
