A huge, black fruit flavored wine, and based on 100% Syrah. It has power, tannins, concentration, solidity. There is no question this is one blockbuster of a wine.

This is Rapitalà’s entry-level red, a blend of 70% Nero d’Avola matured in stainless and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon matured in used oak. The result is a pleasantly structured red with notes of plum and chocolate accented by hints of mint and dusty earth. Imported by Frederick Wildman and Sons, Ltd.

This interesting blend of Nero d’Avola and Pinot Nero (30%) recalls a California Pinot thanks to its rich color and density. You taste the purity of the berries but also get the heft and texture of a hot-climate red. Sweet candy and floral fragrances set the stage and the wine has a crisp, bright finish.
