The Salento, or the tip of the “heel” of the boot of Italy, is an excellent area for rosé. Arguably it is the best. This expression made from native Negroamaro grapes offers a bright ruby color and sweet aromas of raspberry, almond and wild cherry.

There’s an attractive meaty or earthy quality to this Primitivo that gives the wine dimension and personality. Black olive, red berry and spice come through and the wine tastes thick and succulent in the mouth. It leaves a lingering endnote of spice and smoke. 4 g/l RS.
