Here is a luminous, golden Sauvignon with a subdued nose of peach, citrus, Caribbean fruit and pineapple. It’s lean and fruity in the mouth and although it doesn’t boast long staying power, it does end on a refreshing, clean note. Not imported.

The Vigneti Le Marsure Merlot is redolent of forest floor, bramble and wild berries and has distant shadings of white pepper, root beer and sour cherry in the background. The wine is thin and compact with a sour twist at the very end.
