Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Lucid in appearance, with mineral aromas adding complexity to the otherwise clean, floral nose. Very dry in style, with apple and pineapple flavors. So crisp and precise that “honest” is the best way to sum it up.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Starts out flowery and tropical, which is likely a reflection of the 20% Loureira in the wine. The flavor profile is dominated by peach and apple, while the finish runs long due to an infusion of Caino Blanca. A nice wine for those who like tropical fruit flavors.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
On the brink of excellence, with a creamy, more funky nose courtesy of the 30% Loureira and Caiño Blanco added to Albariño. Flavors of ripe tropical fruits show light green accents, while the finish is steady and a little pithy. Perfectly good white wine, with a punch-like quality. Imported by A.V. Brands.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Lemon, apple blossom and honey aromas make for a correct, attractive bouquet. Meanwhile, the palate is typically crisp and vibrant, with cutting acids that push the pineapple and citrus flavors to a point. Long and exact on the finish, and overall there’s not an ounce of flab to this streamlined white.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
White pear, melon and almond skin aromas are good and correct, while the peachy palate has roundness and interesting flavors of orange, lime and nectarine. Crisp, precise and well-glued together, with harmony throughout. A textbook food-friendly white that’s more interesting than other Rías Baixas wines due to the addition of Loureira and Caiño Blanco to traditional Albariño.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Gold in color, with a chunky, oversized nose weighted down by apple and orange aromas. A lot of bulky citrus flavors carry the palate, but there isn’t much balance or zest. Tastes o.k. but feels a bit mealy.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Peach and vanilla aromas dominate, with a touch of orange peel thrown in. The palate is surprisingly acidic, with sharp flavors of lemon, grapefruit and green apple. Almost shocking at first; it goes out easier than it comes in.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Apple and peach aromas are perfectly nice and typical for a fresh, young Albariño. There’s nothing crazy or wild about this wine; it’s straightforward and approachable, with green apple, pineapple and a lot of lemony sharpness. Finishes fresh and minerally.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Unlike TG’s Abadía de San Campio Albariño, this wine also features Loureira and Caiño Blanco, and it’s more interesting in the long run. Aromas of mango and pineapple are sweet and pungent, while the palate is round, leesy and plump, with green melon, apple, vanilla and creamy notes. Fleshy on the finish, but with good acidity. Will accompany shellfish of all sorts.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Lemon blossom, burnt hay and saline aromas never fully come together, while the palate is pulsing with pineapple and pithy citrus flavors. Fairly full and complete, with a finish of orange rind and lime. Zesty and forward.
