Shows a wildly exotic array of flavors, from tropical fruits and wildflowers to honey and Asian spices. Crisp acidity provides balance, but the finish is a bit sugary sweet.

are starting to recognize Clarksburg, for growing some amazingly flavorful Chenin Blanc and Albarino, but if it’s Chardonnay they want to grow, too, this wine won’t help make the case. From the Wilson Vineyard, it’s sweet and uncomplicated and tasting a bit burnt.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
Smells ashy, and then turns simple and direct, offering pleasant fruit, herb and spice flavors in a silky texture. A sound, everyday wine that gets the basic Pinot Noir idea across.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
A pretty good wine in its own right, although it’s much darker and more full-bodied than a rosé really should be. Still, it’s dry and crisp, with raspberry tart, vanilla and sandalwood flavors.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
So young, it tastes like it’s still fermenting. Not a bad wine, but freshly tart and strong in grapy flavors. Should calm down by mid-2011 and become a nice, full-bodied and dry red wine.

Expert NoteJanuary 12, 2012
There are good Cabernet flavors in this dry, rugged wine. Blackberries, cherries, currants and oak work their way to a briary finish. Drink now.
