A step up from Allemand’s Chaillot bottling, the 2004 Reynard boasts more intense cassis fruit and even some licorice and spice notes. It’s rich, layered and tannic, needing some time to show its best. Drink 2010–2020.

From the domaine’s young vines, this offering features somewhat restrained aromatics, with just traces of violets and blackberries. But on the palate there’s plenty of cassis fruit. No, it’s not that rich or lush, but it’s pure, supple and easy to drink right out of the gate. Drink now–2012.
