The vineyard is great and famous, yet the wine doesn’t exhibit its best qualities. It’s soft and rather direct, with flavors of cherries, raspberries, orange rind and cola, accented with sweet smoky oak. Good and silky, but could come from anywhere.

Nice and silky, and velvety smooth in the mouth, this Pinot offers complex flavors of cherries, raspberries, cola, mocha and sandalwood. Easy to like for its richness and spicy finish. Ready now.

With rich, decadently delicious raspberry and cherry pie filling flavors, this is an impressive young Pinot. It’s so sweet in fruit and oak, yet entirely dry in the finish, and the silky texture and elaborate oak overlay are just perfect. Hard to predict its longterm future, but it will make for elaborate drinking over the next four years.

So easy to like now for its ripe, pie-filling flavors of raspberries and cherries, cola, sweet rhubarb, cured meat, cinnamon and white pepper. Just delicious, and the texture is pure silk and satin. Hard to keep from drinking right away, but it should develop bottle complexity over the next six years.

A lovely Pinot for drinking now. The wine is softly tannic and silky in the mouth, with rich, complex flavors of raspberries and cherries, exotic dusty spices such as cloves and star anise, and sweet charred oak. First-rate, and worth the price.
