Tiefenbrunner is an old reliable when it comes to Pinot Grigio, and its 2000 is no exception. Pear and citrus are the flavors. The palate is well balanced and the mouthfeel round and smooth. Vibrant acidity accentuates the long, fruity finish.

The wine’s structure has all the requisite parts and then some. It has good weight, crisp acidity and fine balance. Unfortunately, there’s little fruit for it to support, and therein lies the problem.
