Very fresh and citrusy, which is a style that Rueda can do well. The nose is pure citrus blossom and mineral, and the crisp palate never loses focus while delivering quick bursts of lemon, orange and green apple. A wine that’s good and easy to comprehend.

A bit flat and jammy on the nose, and then it runs hot and heavy across the palate, where the flavors waver between citric and plum-cherry. There’s a lot of fruit here, but also some burn and finally a dull hum to the finish.

Solid on the nose, with red fruit aromas, mild earth and leather. The palate is snappy and zesty, with bright acidity pushing raspberry and plum flavors. Tastes and feels right on the finish; perfectly nice for a $9 wine. The blend is 80% Tempranillo and 20% Syrah.

Big and bulky with giant, untamed red-fruit aromas. The palate is equally loud and pretty much anonymous in terms of its flavors. A bumpy ride with size and power but zero finesse.

Seems sort of waxy and baked, with mildly acrid aromas of burnt corn leading the way. The palate has an o.k. feel but the flavors are rather bitter and burnt, and the fruit isn’t pointed or expressive. May already be past its prime. Imported by Winery Exchange.
