Jumbled and stewy on the nose, with soupy berry fruit aromas and rubberband. The palate is choppy and heavy, with brambly flavors of roasted berry. Tastes more salty and soupy than bright and fresh.

Generic, superficial and hard, but still with plenty of color and firepower. Feelwise, it’s a narrow wine without much cushion or stuffing to fall back on. Flavors of raspberry and plum are also leafy and mildly stemmy.

Raspberry, licorice and plant stalks come together in a harsh, semiburnt way, while the palate is tough and acrid, with generic red fruit. Rough on the finish, with bitterness.

Rubbery and warm on the nose, with simple berry aromas running underneath. The palate is tight and a little acidic, with strained raspberry and black cherry flavors. Finishes lean but fresh, with herbal notes and not much depth. Good enough but very basic.

A heavyweight with mildly green aromas that are somewhat like tobacco and bell pepper. Flavors of cherry and berry are generic but good, while the feel is scratchy. Weighty on the finish, with a touch of raisin and Port.
